Liquid Nitrogen Storage Systems

Liquid nitrogen is widely used in wide range of industries and applications over a number of years. The usage of liquid nitrogen storage systems is pretty common in shrink-welding machinery, cryogenics, HVAC industry usage, sample preservation, beer production etc. Some of the common industrial applications of liquid nitrogen storage equipment are used is mentioned below: -

Aerospace & Aircraft

The usage of these systems is quite common in case of aerospace & aircraft industry. The use of nitrogen is quite common in high Reynolds number wind tunnels, heat treating furnaces and autoclaves to help in creating extremely strong yet lightweight materials. Nitrogen is also used for assisting gas for laser cut applications. The high temperature autoclaves are widely used for curing laminar composites of aerospace applications. But carbon-based laminar composites create an off-gas during the process of curing. Liquid nitrogen storage tanks offer a safe, inert atmosphere which sweeps the off-gases from furnace.

Automotive and Transportation Equipment

These systems are widely used in assembly plants, tier 1s and tier 2s using nitrogen plants with other welding gases for welding frames, auto parts and other components. This is because they have the ability to offer the necessary atmosphere which is required to produce sufficient welds with any type of material. It is a vital safety component of airbags. Heat treating is commonly used for strengthening automotive metals.

Chemicals

Nitrogen is often used as a pressurizing gas to push liquids through pipelines. It is also used for shielding oxygen-sensitive materials from air and for removing volatile organic chemicals from process streams.

Food & Beverage

Liquid nitrogen agent is the major cryogenic agent for cooling, chilling and food freezing. As it has an extremely cold temperature, immersion freezing is the quickest freezing method for producing Individual Quick(IQF)foods. Nitrogen also plays a major role in minimizing spoilage, discolouration and off-flavors, thereby offering strength for retail packaging.

Healthcare

Nitrogen NF is often used as a cryogen for freezing and preserving blood, tissue and other biological specimens. It helps in freezing and destroying tissue in cryosurgery and dermatology. It is also used for powering medical devices.
